For the Great Migration, Kilimanjaro and school holidays, 9–12 months ahead is ideal. Many other journeys can be arranged within a few months.
Is my payment protected?
Yes. Lille Bille Safari is a member of Reisegarantifondet (the Norwegian Travel Guarantee Fund), so payments for your package journey are protected.
Are the journeys private?
Yes — every journey is private, with your own vehicle and guide. Group and school departures are listed under Upcoming departures.
When is the best time to travel?
June–October for the classic dry season, January–February for calving season in the southern Serengeti. Kilimanjaro is best January–March and June–October.
Do I need a visa?
Most Scandinavian travellers need an online visa for Tanzania and an eTA for Kenya. Rules change — we send an up-to-date checklist with your proposal.
Which vaccinations do I need?
Ask your GP or a travel clinic 6–8 weeks before departure. Malaria protection is usually recommended; proof of yellow fever vaccination is only needed in some cases.
Is travel insurance required?
Yes — comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical evacuation. For Kilimanjaro it must also cover trekking at high altitude.
