Pick-up at Kilimanjaro Airport and a quiet first night in Arusha. Your guide meets you for a climb briefing and a gear check.
02Down to Lake NatronArusha → Lake Natron · Engaresero waterfallsLake Natron Tented Camp or Masai Giraffe Natron
Across the Rift Valley to Lake Natron. In the late afternoon a walk up the Engaresero river gorge to the waterfalls, then dinner and a few hours of rest. Around midnight you set off for the volcano.

Steep ash slopes by headlamp, the crater rim at first light and the Rift Valley glowing below. After the descent, the flamingo shore of Lake Natron — then the drive back to Arusha.
