Before booking with Lille Bille Safari, please read our Terms & Conditions. These terms form part of the agreement you accept when joining one of our tailor-made safaris. They outline your responsibilities, our policies, and important safety information to ensure your trip is safe, enjoyable, and unforgettable.
General Information
Our safaris take place in areas where accidents can occur, as in any outdoor adventure. Traveling with Lille Bille Safari is at your own risk. While we cannot assume responsibility for unforeseen incidents, our experienced crew takes every precaution to ensure your safety.
It is crucial to follow your guide’s instructions at all times. Trips, especially hikes like Kilimanjaro, may involve risks such as falls, altitude sickness, dehydration, cold exposure, and other hazards. Together with our ground team, we strive to make your journey safe and comfortable.
Travel Documents
Travelers are responsible for bringing valid passports, visas, and any required travel insurance, including cancellation and evacuation coverage. We recommend consulting a travel medicine center for vaccinations and health advice before your trip.
Payment Terms
To secure your adventure with Lille Bille Safari, complete the booking form and submit it with the deposit.
Deposit: 4,000 NOK, due 90 days before departure
Remaining balance: Due 60 days before departure
Late payments may result in cancellation of the booking. For bookings made less than 40 days before departure, full payment is required immediately. Flight payments follow airline cancellation policies
Cancellation Policy
80+ days before departure: Full refund minus 2,000 NOK administrative fee
40–79 days: 50% refund
Less than 40 days or no-show: No refund
Travel and Accident Insurance
Travelers must have insurance covering the entire duration of the safari, including evacuation and repatriation. Insurance is mandatory for all Lille Bille Safari trips.
Travel Guarantees
Lille Bille Safari is a proud member of the REISEGARANTIFONDET (Travel Guarantee Fund). This ensures that in the unlikely event of financial difficulties, your payments for trips with us are fully protected according to Norwegian law (LOV-2018-06-15-32: The Package Travel and Travel Guarantee Act). All bookings are secured, giving you peace of mind when planning your tailor-made safari adventures.
Children & Family Safaris
Children of all ages can join our trips. Those under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. We also design family-specific adventures and educational experiences for schools and colleges.
Airfare & Packages
Some packages include airfare, others start upon arrival in Tanzania. Details of inclusions are listed in each program. Contact us if you need clarification.
Entry Requirements for Tanzania
Travelers are responsible for knowing entry requirements. A tourist visa can be obtained on arrival for $50, valid for 3 months.
Medical Precautions
Consult your doctor or a travel medicine specialist 1–2 months before departure. Vaccinations and health precautions are the traveler’s responsibility. Proof of vaccination may be required for entry or return.

Time Zone: Tanzania is 1–2 hours ahead of Norway, depending on daylight saving time
Currency: Tanzanian Shilling; US Dollars and Euros widely accepted
Banks: Open 8:30–16:00 Mon–Fri, 8:30–13:00 Sat
Credit Cards: Accepted at major hotels/lodges; cash advised for remote areas
Connectivity & Electrical Outlets
Internet is available in lodges and major towns. Cellular coverage exists in most safari areas. Electrical current is 220V; a converter may be needed for 110V devices.
Tipping Guidelines
Tipping is appreciated but not mandatory. All crew salaries are included in the package.
