Go beyond traditional tourism and experience Tanzania through the eyes of its people. This immersive educational journey combines cultural exchange, community engagement, conservation learning, and wildlife experiences.
Begin in Moshi at the four-day Kabila Moja Cultural Festival, a unique celebration of Tanzania’s cultural diversity, where communities come together through traditional music, dance, food, language, storytelling, sports, and shared heritage. Participants will engage directly with local communities and gain insight into the traditions of tribes including the Chagga, Maasai, Pare, Sambaa, Gogo, and many others.
The journey continues in Karamba Maasai Village, where participants work alongside the community through the Karamba-Ndea Project, a grassroots initiative focused on water access, livestock health, and reducing human-wildlife conflict. Through practical field activities and cultural exchange, participants gain first-hand experience of rural life, conservation challenges, and coexistence between people, livestock, and wildlife.
The program concludes with a wildlife and conservation component in Mkomazi National Park before returning to Moshi for departure.

Experience the festival’s community-focused programs, including guided street tourism led by former and current street-connected youth, offering unique perspectives on urban life and social development.
Day 5 – Transfer to Karamba Maasai Village
Travel to Karamba Village. Introduction to the Karamba-Ndea Project and orientation with community leaders.

Day 7 – Human-Wildlife Coexistence Studies

Day 10 – Mkomazi National Park & Rhino Conservation
Travel to Mkomazi National Park, one of East Africa’s most important conservation landscapes. Visit the renowned Rhino Sanctuary and learn about the ongoing efforts to protect and reintroduce the critically endangered black rhino. Through guided educational sessions, gain insight into wildlife conservation, anti-poaching initiatives, habitat management, and the challenges facing endangered species across Africa.
