Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro Airport → Moshi
Touch down at Kilimanjaro International Airport and meet your Lille Bille Safari representative. Transfer to your hotel in Moshi to rest and prepare. Attend a detailed trek briefing and gear check to ensure you are ready for the Lemosho Route adventure.

Day 2: Moshi → Lemosho Gate → Big Tree Camp
Elevation: 2,100 m → 2,600 m
Hiking Time: 4–6 hours
Start your trek at Lemosho Gate, entering lush rainforest full of tropical birds and vibrant vegetation. Enjoy a gradual ascent through the forest until reaching Big Tree Camp, your first campsite on the mountain.
Highlights: Dense rainforest, birdlife, tropical vegetation, scenic first camp.
Day 3: Big Tree Camp → Shira 1 Camp
Elevation: 2,600 m → 3,500 m
Hiking Time: 5–7 hours
Continue trekking through the rainforest, which gradually opens into moorlands as you ascend. Enjoy dramatic views of Kibo Peak while reaching Shira 1 Camp, where you’ll spend the night in your tents.
Highlights: Alpine moorland, panoramic views, transition from forest to open plateau.
Day 4: Shira 1 Camp → Shira 2 Camp
Elevation: 3,500 m → 3,850 m
Hiking Time: 4–6 hours
Follow the Shira Plateau toward Shira 2 Camp. The terrain becomes more open and alpine, allowing for acclimatization. Take time to enjoy the stunning high-altitude landscape and photograph the unique flora.

Day 5: Shira 2 Camp → Barranco Camp
Elevation: 3,850 m → 3,950 m
Hiking Time: 6–8 hours
Ascend to Lava Tower for high-altitude acclimatization, then descend slightly to Barranco Camp. Challenge yourself with the famous Barranco Wall, an iconic feature of the Lemosho Route.

Day 6: Barranco Camp → Karanga Valley Camp
Elevation: 3,950 m → 4,035 m
Hiking Time: 4–5 hours
Climb over the Barranco Wall and continue along the ridge to Karanga Camp. A shorter hiking day allows for acclimatization and preparation for the summit attempt.
Highlights: Barranco Wall ascent, alpine vistas, rest and acclimatization.
Day 7: Karanga Camp → Barafu Camp
Elevation: 4,035 m → 4,640 m
Hiking Time: 3–4 hours
Make your final ascent to Barafu Camp, the base for your summit attempt. Spend the afternoon resting, hydrating, and preparing for the overnight climb to Uhuru Peak.

Day 8: Barafu Camp → Uhuru Peak → Mweka Camp
Elevation: 4,640 m → 5,895 m → 3,100 m
Hiking Time: 10–14 hours
Begin your summit climb in the early hours of the morning. Reach Uhuru Peak in time to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the clouds. After celebrating your achievement, descend to Mweka Camp for rest and recovery.
Highlights: Sunrise from the summit, panoramic 360° views, the “Roof of Africa” experience.
Day 9: Mweka Camp → Mweka Gate → Moshi
Elevation: 3,100 m → 1,640 m
Hiking Time: 3–4 hours
Descend through the lush rainforest to Mweka Gate, completing the trek. Transfer back to Moshi for a relaxing evening and celebration with your guides and fellow trekkers.

Day 10: Departure – Kilimanjaro Airport
