Tour Plan
Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro Airport → Moshi
Day 2: Moshi → Marangu Gate → Mandara Hut
Elevation: 1,800 m → 2,700 m
Hiking Time: 4–6 hours
Start your trek at Marangu Gate and enter lush rainforest, alive with birdlife and tropical vegetation. The trail gradually climbs, passing streams and waterfalls, before opening to the moorland surrounding Mandara Hut. Enjoy your first night on the mountain, taking in stunning views of Kilimanjaro’s lower slopes.

Day 3: Mandara Hut → Horombo Hut
Elevation: 2,700 m → 3,700 m
Hiking Time: 5–7 hours
Ascend through open moorland with dramatic views of Kibo Peak looming above. The trail is steady but rewarding, with striking landscapes of heather, giant groundsels, and alpine vegetation. Arrive at Horombo Hut and rest for the evening.

Day 4: Horombo Hut – Acclimatization Day
Elevation: 3,700 m (stay at same altitude)
Take a rest and acclimatization day to prepare for the summit. Optional short hikes to Zebra Rocks or nearby ridges help your body adjust to the altitude. Spend time hydrating, photographing the surroundings, and enjoying the dramatic scenery.

Day 5: Horombo Hut → Kibo Hut

Day 6: Kibo Hut → Uhuru Peak → Horombo Hut

Start your climb to Uhuru Peak in the early hours of the morning. Watch the sunrise over the clouds as you reach Africa’s highest point. After celebrating at the summit, descend back to Horombo Hut for well-earned rest.

Day 7: Horombo Hut → Marangu Gate → Moshi
